Confirmation

Those who have been Baptized continue on the path of Christian Initiation through the Sacrament of Confirmation. In this Sacrament, they receive the Holy Spirit whom the Lord sent upon the apostles on Pentecost. This giving of the Holy Spirit conforms believers more fully to Christ and strengthens them so that they may be witnesses to Christ for the building up of His body in faith and love.  They are so marked with the character or seal of the Lord that the Sacrament of Confirmation cannot be repeated. (R Conf 1-2:DOL 2510-2511)

Our young adults here at Holy Innocents receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the end of the 8th Grade Catechetical Year.

Confirmation at Holy Innocents Parish will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024.  Bishop John Bonnici  will confer the sacrament.

The children have 4 important activities to prepare for this sacrament.  
1. Patron Saint Report – choice of Confirmation saint / name, and write report. Due TBA.   Additional Information
2. Sponsor – Identify who will be their Confirmation sponsor and complete form. Due TBA.   Additional Information.
3. Letter of Intent to the Bishop – a written letter to Bishop Walsh requesting the sacrament of Confirmation. Due TBA.   Additional Information
4. Confirmation Service Projects – projects of service in 4 categories, Family, Church, Community, and Random act of Kindness. A reflection to be written about one of them. Due TBA.   Additional Information
