Minnewaska State Park Preserve, Gardiner, NY
Participation Options
This event is open for hikers of all levels, having three options for participation:
a. Gertrude’s Nose and Millbrook Mountain Loop: a 7-mile loop with 1,000 ft of elevation gain
b. Lake Minnewaska Carriage Road Loop: a 2-mile loop with 250 ft of elevation gain
c. Simply hang out at the Lake Minnewaska Visitor Center, which affords beautiful views of Lake Minnewaska and the Catskills
What to bring
AT LEAST 2 liters of water
Trail lunch
Sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses
Jacket
Hiking boots or running shoes
Schedule
7am Mass at Holy Innocents
7:45am Depart for Hike (arrange your own transportation – let the Office know if you need help finding a ride)
9:30am Anticipated arrival at Lake Minnewaska Visitors’ Center
10am Depart from Visitors Center to begin hike
3pm Anticipated arrival back to cars from long hike (head home whenever you like)
The park charges $10 per car.

General Schedule
Friday, July 25
- Arrive anytime after 2pm, to be settled in by dinner at 5pm
Saturday, July 26
- A day of personal prayer and reflection, with Mass, a couple conferences, and Adoration
Sunday, July 27
- 9:30am Mass, followed by brunch, depart when you like

This will be a “silent retreat,” affording time for personal prayer and reflection, interspersed with talks, communal prayer, and Mass.
