Luke 2:19 – “Mary treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
Eucharistic Treasures is a program designed by catechist, and parishioner, Rosemarie Pomilla designed to reinforce the classroom learning of our faith. Each Grade has a theme for the year, and there will be a treasure based on that theme for each week of instruction.
The catechist will teach the Eucharistic Treasure in class. Each student will receive a worksheet based on that lesson and is then responsible to go home and teach the lesson to their parent or Guardian. The parent or guardian is required to sign that worksheet that they received the lesson. The worksheet is to be returned to the catechist at the next class.
There is no limit to whom the student can teach the lesson to. It’s a first step in a lifetime of spreading the word and evangelizing!
At the bottom of the worksheet, there are reflection questions. The student can bring the physical worksheet to mass or have a photo of it, so that while they are at mass each week, they can think about the week’s Eucharistic treasure and find it or reflect on it while they are at mass.
A completed worksheet has the parent or guardian signature, and the reflection questions answered. This completed worksheet should be returned to the catechist.
The Religious Education Program is grateful to Rosemarie for her beautiful work and enhancement to our curriculum. We think you will all love the learning!
